How is it possible for so much to change in a year? A year ago right now, I was planning Brianna's graduation party. This year, I am planning Alyssa's wedding! Yes, Alyssa began dating Nathan last Christmas; he proposed this past October, and they are getting married next May! I could write and write and write about all of that, but that will be a post for another day. For now, I will just say that we are very excited for them, and Nathan is a great guy and we are very happy to welcome him into our family.
Brianna was accepted to Calvin College, and began attending there in September. Things could not be going better for her. She has so many friends - people just love her, and her classes are going well. She has decided that she hates chemistry, however, so we will not be having a chemist in the family! She has always loved history and dreamed of working in a museum, so now she is considering art history, and will be taking a class in that next semester to see if that is the path she should choose.
Brandon has been in a few plays. He had 5 small parts in the ensemble of The Wizard of Oz last semester, and discovered that he liked to sing. So this semester, he joined choir. Also this semester, he had a lead part in a play called Bone Chiller, and he was awesome. One of my friends told me that he stole the show! He also recently went to a Thespian Festival at Saginaw Valley State University, and competed in the Musical Theater category, singing a solo from the play Jekyll and Hyde and received an "Excellent" rating from the judges. So he is very excited about his future in acting. I, however, am a little nervous about it!
